Brooks is getting good minutes with Hertha's 1st team so far in the preseason.

Good news. He's a good prospect but he just grew a ton last year and lost a little coordination. He's now 6'5 but apparently playing well.

It would be great if he stays with the 1st team getting minutes all season. I'd like to see Hertha back in top flight anyways.

I think he is going to be around the 3rd best CB on Hertha. At 19, that's not bad.

This kid has a big upside. Very big upside.

I would be happy if he at least gets some PT as a sub that would be a really good sign.

I'm hearing that Brooks and Hubnik are expected to be the starting CBs when the season starts next Friday against SC Paderborn, because defenders Franz and Jenker are still recovering from injuries. If Brooks gets PT it will be HUGE since he is only 19 years old, I'm really excited about this kid hope he takes this opportunity and grabs it by the horns.

He played v. Juventus the other day in Berlin for 89 minutes, and even Morales came on in the 75th.

Brooks came out of the game in the 84th minute before Juventus scored the second goal in the 90th minute.

I watched the game today.

This kid has the potential to be unreal. It was a very good debut for Brooks today.

He's 6'5, fast, smart, and he can pass very well.

I was so excited to watch him play for the first time and I was not disappointed, this kid impressed me he has a really bright future ahead of him can't wait to see him with the senior USMNT in the near future.

Really excited about this dude. There is a reason Bayern Munich tried to sign him!

Realistically with him being an important part for Hertha this season; I don't forsee him being able to play with the U-20's for the qualifying tournament. But as long as the U-20's qualify this guy will be an important player for them in the U-20 WC!

Who knows he may just even get called up to the senior team in the next year. Possibly for the Gold Cup next summer.

There are rumors via bigsoccer (which naturally is as good as the Mirror in England) that Brooks has been called up to the German U20 team. Any truth to this?

Ya, its true, Brian Sciaretta reported it om Twitter with the official list to back it up. Pretty unfortunate for US fans but he'll still end up with the US. Klinsmann should countet it with a senior team friendly call-up.
