Over at MLSSoccer they spoke with Kevin Hoyos who said he and his brother are strongly considering a move back home to MLS. Kevin specifically stated that he's going to be in Honduras until his MLS club situation gets worked out.

Obviously no details regarding specific clubs while the details are being finalized but what teams do you all think might be good fits? RSL made serious inquiries for Michael before he went on loan to Greece this year. Given DCU's US youth push I think they make sense as one possible destination as well.

Michael should have went to RSL or Seattle instead of Greece in the first place. I know Seattle was really interested in Michael as well.

How much promise are the Hoyos players showing when playing? I personally havent seen them play. For lack of a better question how good are they

Michael Hoyos is better then Kevin hoyos and has more upside in my opinion. Michael before the car accident was considered a very promising prospect for argentina national team and he is just getting back into the previous form showed at the moment. Kevin Hoyos is a good prospect and played very well in honduras however I think his potential is less then Michael. If michael can play well in greece and translate it into a move to a better team then he has a very good chance of playing a part in 2018 WCQ he is a winger the us lacks natural wingers so he helps in that. Kevin is more of a striker/CAM in his past 3 games in honduras he has scored 4 goals. Michael is fast, tall and likes to cut inside as a second striker at times. Kevin I am not to sure I know a little about him but not much.

http://www.goal.com/en/news/585/argentina/201... for a more advanced scouting report on him I think this is a very accurate bio on him.

Both would've likely been members of the US youth setup had they so desired. Kevin is still 20, so he's got a shot at being a member of the 2016 Olympic squad. He's done well in Honduras thus far so that's an encouraging sign. Before Michael went to OFI in Greece, reports out of Argentina indicated since his accident he'd only shown flashes of the player he was prior. That being said I see no reason that both couldn't get matches in MLS, assuming they don't have trouble with the physical nature of the league.

Kevin has a match upcoming in the CCL against Tijuana so that might be a good barometer of his upside/ability to play at this level.

so would the Hoyos brothers not have to enter the lottery or the allocation order because they did not play for the youth usmnt?

The Hoyos brothes should be able to negotiate with any team they want to in MLS.

I could see both going to Chivas USA. It's back in LA where they are from. And they would both immediately help a fledgling club team next year.

They can't play for MLS until the start of the 2014 season, hence why Kevin Hoyos is playing in Honduras.

Kevin will be playing in CCL tonight against Tijuana, so find a stream somewhere and get a personal view of his talents.

I saw the game last night between CD Victoria and Xolos. It was no contest and Kevin Hoyos was really not involved. The few touches he did get, he looked good. Nice passing and good runs into open space. But, his teammates by that time were already three goals down (in the first 35 minutes), and failed to see his runs.

Beautiful Bike. It's quite clear that his talent level is greater than the Honduran league. Hopefully an MLS club comes in for him.

He has been owning the honduran league ever since he came. Its a shame he couldnt break into estudiantes first team although he could be recalled and get more minutes with estudiantes. If not I am sure the mls will be more then happy to snap him up.
