Huddersfield coach said he is going to bring Holmes along slowly & doesn't want to rush him

While that may be, you can't deny form...you may want to bring him along slowly but if (and he has) he excels in the games you put him in, you should start him sooner rather than later.

anderlecht (kljestan) v olympiakos

this is basically a must-win for sacha/anderlecht - home to olympiakos is the easiest game on their UCL calender

unfortunately anderlecht has started the season poorly. they are ridiculously young - 7 probable starters are 23 and under - five of those 19 or younger!!!

SKs likely CM partner turned 16 over the summer!

anderlecht is clearly rebuilding. nice that SK is there to offer some stability, but would love to see sacha consider a transfer over winter or next summer. i could see him transitioning to france pretty smoothly. maybe ale can put in a good word at nantes

belgian league is decent and UCL is amazing experience, but sacha has done all he can do at anderlecht and has the skill to play at a higher level while he is still in his prime

I agree to a point - they've lost clear talent in Mbokani and especially in Biglia. It'll give Sacha a chance to shine though - he's clearly a favorite there and may not want to go, especially with CL berths every year (though that may change). It'll be interesting to see how this year progresses for him.

Today's showcase:

Anderlecht (Kljestan) v. Olympiakos @ 2:45 (all times eastern)
Corinthians v. Bahia (Adu) @ 8:50

Think that's it today.

Am I reading it right that the Stoke match isn't kicking off until 4:45 EST?

Game's already underway and he's on the bench. MH is cited saying that he's not taking this match lightly and is stacking his side with regular starters. I'm guessing that we'll see Brek on at half time if they nab another goal or two before the break.

Stoke 1 - Birmingham 0 right now, goal by Assaidi

Quite a few here are looking to see Shea on...and I've seen at least one person looking forward to seeing Agudelo when he arrives...

good run down the left and a dangerous ball across the face, but no one within reach for the tap-in.

Gotta feel sorry for Brek...when he came on they were comfortable in the lead 3-1 now it is 4-4 going to penalties. Just hope he doesn't miss if he gets the chance.
