He is an attacking CM. And has played mostly as the CAM for West Ham's U-21 team. He also played as the attacking CM for West Ham in pre-season.

He's played a good bit outside at LW the last few times I've seen the U21s play.

Holmes was an impact player yet again coming off of the bench today. Unlkucky not to score his first goal. You'd have to think that he will be in-line for starts going forward. Also I wouldn't be surprised if Klinsmann is taking notice of him as well.

Which is why there should be another camp at another time of year to perform same function but this time catering to euro players.

He is the rare american player playing in England in which I have YET TO SEE be bashed by a british tweep. It's all praise from those eel pie lovers (who remember that Simpson's halloween episode?).

Dude Blaise..... Tab Ramos has nothing to do with holmes not making the team. Its the scouts who did not find him, so blaming it on the coach is just irrelevant. Since u hate Ramos so much... why don't you create a screw tab ramos thread where u can post all the hate you want about him and we don't even have to debate about it.

Ramos has his Favorites.. There are like 10 players he dint call that were better than many of his sub 20 selections.. Hopefully he selects the best players in the next cycle.

I would Take Holmes Over Green. The kid is explosive, fast, strong he has all the tools, and is a very good passer.. Hopefully we see him in the next friendlies. He could make a push for the World Cup.

@admsghs: Agreed, plus Holmes really wants to play for the USA while Green is just weighing his options with usa and germany.

Holmes would need to have at least 7 (combined goals+assists) before he gets any consideration from the USMNT. I mean common.

Next week he will most likely start.. I think he will get 20 starts by the time the season ends.. And have similar numbers..
