Saw Holmes for first time. I thought hid did well, with a few miscues. His shot that led to a goal was really good.

It may be just me but he reminds me, in both play and looks, like a young Cobi Jones!

Subbed in at 56' today in a 1-0 win. Subbed in at 0-0.

Apparently hit a fan with the ball during the match, not sure via shot, cross, deflection, etc... After the match he have his jersey to that fan. Pretty cool...

The more I see of Holmes the more I realize that this guy could potentially be a huge player for the USMNT during the 2018 WC cycle.

IMO he is lock for the Olympic team if the US qualify that is.

Four players I am excited about for the next cycle:

Holmes
Nagbe
Arriola
Zardes

I find it amazing he's not in the 18. If they think so highly of him at least keep him as a consistent sub.

So either Yeovil didn't extend Holmes' loan or Huddersfield didn't want to extend his loan with Yeovil. Anyways Holmes is back with Huddersfield. Hopefully he will be used.

Duane Holmes finally featured for Huddersfield again today (at least I think this was the first appearance in a few weeks). It was against Yeovil town, ironically, and two minutes after he came on they scored, yet I don't know what his involvement was in that goal. Anyone catch the game?

Correction: they scored TWO goals after he came on. Would love to know his involvement. I'll do some digging but if anyone finds out before me please let me know.

Apparently was involved in the set up for the second goal. Hope he sees some more PT over the last few matches.

He makes a positive impact whenever he plays. I have no idea why he isn't getting more minutes, and I have no idea what that Huddersfield coaching staff is doing with him. I get that he is young, and they don't want to burn him out at a young age, but he is clearly their most skilled and talented player.

If Huddersfield ever wants to think about making the Premiership or making the Champioship playoffs to get into the Premiership, then they have to start playing Holmes with more regularity next season.

Huddersfield secured safety with the win so no excuses to not play him at this point. Yeovil guaranteed to go down with this loss.

I think its because they dont think he can handle 90 mins every week which is garbage. You wont know until you play him consistently. Also its weird because the manager says he's always makes a positive impact when he plays, yet barely plays him.

The Huddersfield fans were not happy that Holmes was loaned out to Yeovil, too. They all wanted Holmes on the field and playing for Huddersfield.

That's what I've been saying. The kid looks electric. Obviously he makes a few mistakes, he's young, but those are things you don't fix until you play consistently: case and point Luis Gil. He's been wonderful this season after getting consistent pt from a young age. I'd like to see Holmes either start getting consistent time on the field or transfer to a club that develops and gives young talent a shot.

Duane Holmes with a goal and an assist for Huddersfield in a preseason game today.

Another player I think could be called up for that September friendly.
