Meh, been happening in Europe recently...not too bad, but it is a sign of the fans' frustration that their team isn't living up to their high expectations.

Costa Rica is living up beyond their expectations.. Reason because they boooed during Tue anthem and used green lasers, they might play in closed doors, not even in Europe..

Well now with injury questions hanging over the team, I am going to update my 23 to 25 man roster:

GK: Rimando, Guzan, Howard
Defense: Chandler, Lichaj, Orozco, Besler, Gonzo, Cameron, Castillo, Beasley
CM's: Jones, Kljestan, Diskerud, Williams, Beckerman, Gil(ultimately I think he is a CM for the USMNT)
Attackers: Lando, EJ, AJ, Altidore, Boyd, Fabian, Bedoya, Shea

Lando is healthy again.

Brooks and Bradley are likely out.

Dempsey has a hamstring strain which means it could take up to two weeks to get over. Don't know if Klinsmann should risk him.

Goodson was injured against RSL over the weekend, don't know the seriousness of it.

I think Klinsmann should allow some of these guys i.e. Dempsey and Goodson to heal up with their club teams

Both Besler and Gonzo have been shaky since returning to their clubs after the Sept qualies. Maybe Geoff Cameron should get the starting RCB spot against Jamaica. Orozco has been more than solid for Puebla being one of their defensive stalwarts this season in a three man backline. He is a much better CB then outside back, I could see Klinsmann giving him a start against either Jamaica or Panama.

Don't mention Corona who can't get off of the bench for Tijuana.

Torres is a good shout out for inclusion as well.

Possibly starting 11 against Jamaica:

-------------Altidore---------
Fabian---------AJ----------Lando
---------Diskerud---Jones------
Beasley-----Besler----Cameron----Chandler
--------------Howard-----------

I really like the look of the right side with Lando and Chandler. Lichaj could also get the nod over Chandler.

I thought Shea was still injured? And even if he is not, no player for a WCQ should be there with so little 1st team action (is it zero?)

Shea is healthy and looks to be in line for some meaningful minutes in the League cup game this week.

Klinsmann likes Shea, and still wants Shea apart of his USMNT picture. That's why I have him on the team. Mark Hughes is a fan as well, so Shea will be in line for meaningful minutes these next few weeks before the WCQ's.

I really hope Shea does well for the remainder of the season. He could really help us out in Brazil as a starter or sub. Just needs to stay healthy. He'll get there. He really wants to go to Brazil and he knows how much more depth we have now. Good motivation for him.

Buuuuuurrnnnn!

I agree about Shea though, we don't have many out-and-out wingers, much less left footers. He's got a lot of talent and I think he unfortunately bought into the hype a little early and then has been fighting off injuries ever since. I think he's starting to realize that his natural skill isn't going to cut it anymore in the big time and he's ready to put in the hard work, as he was doing with the reserves before this last injury.

Burn to whom? I never wanted Parkhurst on the roster.

It's lining up for Brek Shea to be the next Freddy Adu (wasted potential)

i would certainly agree that shea needs to earn another shot just like anyone else.

the other thing about shea is we just saw him in the gold cup and he was NOT VERY GOOD

Id argue its more correct to say he wasnt consistent. He had some of the best individual plays/runs of the tourney. He showed at time the skillset he possesses that not many in our pool have. He just disappeared or lost focus more than he played good but he definitely showed glimpses of the talent he has

It wasnt meant as a burn just that under JK we cant assume you need to be playing for a club team to keep getting call ups. I also think you should have to be playing for club team unless you are reserve for a top 5-10 club in the world (ie a sub at Barca would be better than a starter in the MLS or MX, etc) however JK keeps showing it doesnt matter to him so that shouldnt be a criteria used when trying to predict the roster

If Brek starts today and gets some league games before the roster announcement, it wouldn't be a shock.

As stated, Klinsy really likes him.

I would like to see Klute called in. Maybe you throw Magee a bone since Dempsey probably won't be available.
