Landon going into USMNT camp in fine form.

If Bedoya is over his sickness I would not be surprised to see this starting 11 against Jamaica:

-------Jozy-----
Bedoya-----Lando---Zusi
----Jones----Beckerman--
Beasley--Besler---Cameron--Evans
-------Howard----

Gonzo left the Galaxy game with an abductor strain which means he is probably going to miss at least the first game against Jamaica.

Subs: EJ, AJ, Mix

I cant remember where JK was quoted but he said that management was toying with the idea of using Jozy and EJ both up top. We could see a two Forward formation.

EJ is not a good partner for Jozy. EJ doesn't know how to combine well. This is the time for a Iceman-Jozy tag team.

That wasn't my opinion, that was what Klinsmann sAid in an interview. He still may go with a one Forward lineup but if it's two Fowards EJ will be the second.

I'm outraged when JK does stuff like leave off two decent RB's or when he puts EJ ahead of AJ. But when I stop and think about it, what can his possible reasons be? Klinsmann probably knows the game better than most of us ever will. Yet he does stuff like this. I wish I could get him in a room and straight up ask.

AJ will see some extended time with these qualifying games. Don't be surprised if he get's the start in Panama.

^^ I really wish I could believe that. He'll come on as a second half sub at half time in one of the two games if we're lucky.

Man, the only time I'd want to see a Jozy/EJ combo is if we're down late against Panama and we're hoofing it into the box. Watching Jozy and EJ trying to play off each other could be very frustrating. The only hope would be LD putting one of them through or EJ grabbing a header.

Still, what I'd like to see with this group for Jamaica. We're at home, let's open it up and save the conservative stuff for the Panamanian onslaught.

Not likely Jones would be happy with a deeper role. But Jones as the 8 would kill the flow. Beckerman behind Mix would be good, but no way JJ sits.

Maybe tuck LD in a little to combo with Johannsson.

.......Jozy.......
.............Ice......
LD......Mix.......Bedoya
.............Jones..............
Beas....Besler...Cameron...Evans

...............Jozy...................
...................AJ..................
......LD........Sasha.......Bedoya
...............Jones.................
Beas....Besler...Goodson...Cameron
................Howard.................

Sasha over Mix due to size of Jamaica. Start getting Cameron versed on the right, since it looks like he will be our best option come Brazil. LD and AJ are interchangable in this system, and Jones covers the left side first.

I found JK's quote, it was on USsoccer.com

ussoccer.com: Along with absences come opportunities, and there are now some open spots in the midfield. How do you plan on utilizing them?

JK: "It opens up maybe some playing time for a Mix Diskerud or an Aron Johannsson. Maybe up top we can play Jozy Altidore and Eddie Johnson together. We will have a lot of discussions with the coaching staff on how to put the puzzle together. Overall, it gives other players a chance that have a point to prove. The players that stepped on the field against Mexico after what happened with the yellow cards in Costa Rica and Michael Bradley's injury did a fantastic job. Kyle Beckerman played an amazing game against Mexico. They all deserve playing time, and the beauty of it is that if one player isn't there, the next one has a chance."

Goodson isn't on the roster.

It is my understanding via Twitter that since Gonzo is hurt he will be joining the roster. If he is not, then push Cameron in and have Evans play out right.

The sudden love of Diskerud (even as a sub) makes me laugh. Diskerud is the same players he was last 1-2 years just about. Yet in Jan camp he not even on the bench? (am I correct in recollection)

I am not mocking Diskerud (deserves to be there), I am mocking Jurgen's nonsensical change of opinion on players.
