We all agree that Bradley(providing he is healthy) will be starting next summer in Brasil.

With Jones continued mediocre play I believe he is no longer the unquestioned starter next to Bradley, but who can adapt to Bradley's game?

Here are a few names to ponder:

Kljestan: Does he have the defensive chops to support what Bradley does for the USMNT? I don't know. Kljestan will have to play more defensively in order to be Bradley's partner

Diskerud: He is by nature an attacking #8. Right now that is Bradley's position. Will Bradley move to a CDM position to accommodate Mix? Right now Bradley is the USMNT's best #8 and best #6. Diskerud may not be the ideal partner for Bradley.

Edu: Edu's game probably adapts best to Bradley's game, but alas he is still injured and we have no idea if Hughes will play him this year. He could find himself back int eh equation if he can start getting minutes for Stoke.

Danny Williams: I am not really a fan of Williams, but he is more of a CDM and will generally differ to Bradley unlike Jones. He is playing and may find himself back int eh USMNT in October.

Beckerman: While he can shut down lanes, and is generally smart with the ball, I worry about his lack of pace. Now if you ask him to just sit in front of a defense then his pace is not nearly that big of deal. I could potentially see a Bradley/Beckerman pairing.

Zusi: He is a much better CM versus RW. If Klinsmann wants to go with a double pivot at CM then Zusi could be the answer. He has a ton of energy like Bradley, they both can deliver good passes. Zusi does have good defense as well.

Cameron: I just don't know what to do about this guy. Will he be a RB or is he going to be Klinsmann's jack of all trades as a sub. For the time being it's hard to see Cameron starting at any position in the WC.

There are options at CM. Klinsmann just needs to realize that Jones may not be the right guy.

I am not overreacting about Jones after yesterdays game. Jones has had one good game in the HEX round of CONCACAF qualifying and that was in the snow fro game. But yet again I think it was more of Bradley's clever passing and interventions that played a major role in that game.

I can definitely see Zusi's place on the USMNT switched from the RM/RW role he currently occupies and going to CM. Gives Jones some necessary competition, especially when he stinks it up with giveaways.

I think Mix and Jones would be fine, both work hard, pass well, and can attack.

Ddude I watch many SKC games, and Zusi is frequently moved to Cm and has started at CM when Kamara was back. He originally played CM for SKC. CM is his best position.

mmm k. whenever i have seen SKC since end of last season zusi is playing in a wide attacking role

rosell, feilhaber, nagamura and joseph all get plenty of PT and all play CM. ususally there are 3 other CMs on the field

vermes currently plays him wide more often than central

Yes zusi rarelly plays cm... He is not an option there,, Bedoya is a better option at cm than zusi.. I still think klissman goes with Mix and Jones..

I doubt Bradley gets called to that friendly... I think klissman will take a B team mixed with young players.. I.e Gil, Zardes, Klute, Gyau, Gatt??, O'Brian, Lletget, wooten, wood, Agudelo, Yedlin, Hoyos, ext....

Maurice Edu is worse than JJ, making that switch takes a step back so I dont see that happening at all. Danny Williams meh not yet maybe next cycle. Diskerud would be a great option once JK gets the backline sorted out, again probably next cycle or at least next year.

Bradley/Kljestan has always been a great pairing, I dont know if it would work now since both players have developed. But if Jones is replaced SK would be the guy Id rather have in there because I think he does a bit of everything well enough to compliment Bradley and the rest of the team. He may not be flashy but he is consistent and again has good chemistry with Bradley.

Outside shot would be Caleb Stanko, but again I think he is just not ready YET. A lot of interesting options.

Never count out Stu but with his injury history I just dont know.

Diskerud's performance against Bosnia demonstrated to me that he is not ready to play against top players yet.

i will say this about MB/SK pairing: for the last two seasons at anderlecht kljestan has played alongside argentine international lucus biglia - who was anderlechts captain - who is about as similar a player to bradley as you will find. sacha basically played a supporting role, often holding while biglia conducted the attack, but also finding ways to contribute to the attack - leading yanks abroad in assists (8) and adding a handful of goals (4)

biglia left for lazio this season and sacha has a bit more offensive role at the moment with his new CM partner, but i feel sacha has learned how to do the dirty work in the center of the park, something that was not a strong suit while he was getting opps under BB

Edu frightens me. He gets terrified when an opposing player charges at him.

Beckerman has no pace but getting forward in games like this isnt where he makes his money at least not at the international level.

Love Jones. Never afraid to mix it up. When he realizes Bradley is top dog, thats when he succeeds.

Cameron is a RB or CB. If you put him in the midfield never put an almost like for like player such as Jones. Too similar.

Jones isn't going anywhere. He's a Klinsmann favorite. I think at the top of the list has to be MB, JJ, then SK. Then Beckerman if in some unfortunate situation the 3 top options are unavailable
