Don't understand how Jurgen can see EJ as better than Aron Johanssen. Aron has ~42 club career goals in last 5 years. In the last 5 years Eddie Johnson has ~27 club goals.
Johanssen has proven during his club career that he is a smart player with great dribbling ability, fast, and excellent vision.
Eddie Johnson has proven during his club career that he is not a smart player, he has no vision, deploys mostly useless flashy moves, is blonde, and is good with his head. Sorry we need Aron Johanssen. Not Pamela Anderson.

This will happen over time. EJ is coming off a few strong showings with the MNT while Aron is new in town. I would like to see Aron start over EJ against Mexico vut I fully expect Klinsmann to go with EJ. It's not worth losing sleep over.

It is when EJ will be ineffective as a starter and we lose to Mexico. EJ is a sub for speed and aerial threat, nothing more.

You know what give AJ the start, but I don't want to see any handwringing and wailing if AJ falls flat on his face. The guy clearly has talent, and yes he may be better than EJ, but is he the right guy to start against Mexico? We won't know until it happens.

Give him the start and lets see what he can do. Sink or swim time.

And really it's perhaps the best time to start AJ against a deflated Mexican defense and team.

AJ is 1000 times better

EJ only scores on weak competition. He killed so many plays going forward last night by keeping his head down.

lets not assume that AJ will not start. i actually think it is better than 50/50 that he starts - i just have a feeling that JK will role the dice with him

Honestly I could care less who starts. I'd love to see AJ in but EJ starting isnt a big deal. Forward isnt a concern for me going forward. Just crazy how Jozy lost his mind for a split second and got carded.

I think Aron will start vs mexico... Ej most likely 2nd half sub depending on the score..

I want to see a healthy dose of Johannsson, hopefully we see LD at right mid with Aron swung towards his side.

The most important thing for me is for Dempsey to NOT be striker again. The thing about Jurgen and Stupidity is, once he starts drinking it, he likes to finish the whole cup. I would wager we will see Dempsey at striker again even though it was a complete fail on friday.

EJ is good in the air and has speed without the ball. Can stretch a team vertically which is important but more as a sub for about 15 minutes, when he starts he fades quickly and slows down the offense and just has no ability to find teammates in good positions consistently. But would AJ be so much better, his club career says yes. The short stint V Bosnia was promising but that was a friendly. I think AJ is miles ahead of EJ and might really push Jozy if his form ever dips but does JK put him out there in only his second cap in a WCQ against Mexico, I dont know but Id like to see it.

Just a question to those out there. Is there anyone here who thinks Eddie Johnson is better than Aron Jˇhannsson?

lol what National Team proof does AJ have to warrant that he is better than EJ lol?? Some of you guys are funny. It's very perplexing. You sit there and will give the benefit of doubt to guys like AJ, and Gatt who have no experience with the Big Boys and have the nerve to say they are better then someone else, yet players like Spector, and Lichaj, and Adu, and Feilhaber, Agudelo, Boyd you sit there and claim they stink or do not deserve a shot at anything....when they have proven they are just as good or better, with more experience with higher quality opponents than the clowns you praise.. Lets see Gatt and AJ tape against Spain, Brazil, France, Japan, Argentina, and yes even Mexico.
