Actually I would love to see Luis Silva get a call up, he's been great on an otherwise horrendous DC United team. I wonder if Gatt will be healthy by Jan. not holding my breath though. Do we take on a Scandnavian team or a South American would be interesting to see who our opponent will be.

Unless DC gets rid of Kasper and Olsen, no player will develop into a star there.

I think assuming the stadium plans keep moving along and the DC Council dissenters are silenced, we could be looking at a new management this upcoming season. With Thohir purchasing a controlling interest in Inter and likely having plans to use that relationship to better DC, it's unlikely he would allow a floundering coach to stay when he could find a more effective candidate either domestically or abroad.

I would say all the guys on the recent u20 team based in MLS.

MLS vets like Ashe, Nguyen, Beltran, Boca, Ld, Goodson, etc

Young guys like Farrell, Jean Baptiste, etc

Fagundez and Nagbe should 100 percent be on this team but their situations wont allow it at that point in time.

Hopefully Holden is healed by then. I won't give up on his possible inclusion for Brazil. Noholdenback!

Like all the picks except no valentin he plays in second division of norway I dont think he warrants a callup.

I will try to construct a realistic klinsmann roster my guess is he goes with best mls roster with clint dempsey missing.
Goalkeepers 3: Nick Rimando, Bill Hamid, Sean Johnson,
Defenders 8: Amobi Okugo,Omar Gonzalez, Matt Besler, Clarence Goodson, Brad Evans, Deandre Yedlin, Corey Ashe, Seth Sinovic.
Midfielders 8: Kelyn Rowe, Luis Gil, Dax Mccarty, Kyle Beckerman, Conor O Brien, Lee Nyugen. Chris Pontius, Graham Zusi
Forwards 5: Mike Magee, Landon Donovan, Will Bruin, Jack Mac, Eddie Johnson

This is probably what I would expect to happen with the roster. Couple of explained absences nagbe and fagundez would be here if they were elgible by then. George John will be playing in europe felt like he was one of the bigger snubs of the last january camp and in the gold cup. I dont think matt hedges gets picked with clarence goodson and omar gonzalez coming I think he probably gets picked the january camp after this one or before then. I think kelyn rowe gets called up due to his very good performances in mls. At striker I think wondo gets dropped and will not get called up to the january camp. I would call up luis silva but I think he will make the next january camp just like matt hedges. Remember this is what I think klinsmann will call up. I personally would rather we try to choose a mls team that is younger i.e. leave out donovan and other mls standouts who klinsman already rates well and try out a lot of players to see if any of them could possibly play a part on the World cup squad.

Nice start to a list. However JK has shown that like BB he wont pick regulars for the camp which would take out Lando, EJ, Besler, Omar, Zusi, Evans.

Anyone else think that it would be good for the other defenders to call Boca in. These young backs could learn a lot from a player that has over 100 caps and has played in multiple World Cups. Some young players i would like to see called in are Yedlin, Rowe, Farrell, Okugo, Rowe, Jack Mac, Zardes, Gil, Villareal, Zimmerman, Powers, Kitchen, Baptiste, Hedges

Seeing how it will be mainly MLS players if Klinsmann decides to do a Jan. Camp; here are my players that will all be in the running for a Jan. Camp call-up, I am not including any USMNT regulars:

GK: Hamid, Hall, Sean John

Defense: Yedlin, Farrell, Klute, Sinovic, Jean-Baptiste, John, Hedges, Okugo, O'Neill

Middies: Powers, McCarty, Kitchen, Caldwell, Feilhaber, Larentowicz, Rowe, Nguyen, Davis, Grabavoy, Luis Gil

Attackers: Pontius, Jack Mac, Luis Silva, Bruin, Zardes, Neagle, Buddle, Villarreal, Mcgee

I feel like he would sprinkle in some USMNT regulars if they don't go on winter transfers. This being a WC year I wouldn't want guys like Landon and Zusi sitting on their bums the entire offseason

The MLSers will have from february through june to get in football shape. A 3 week long camp with C teamers and a friendly against another concacaf C team isnt going to get them more ready or more prepared. The 3 week break will help them recharge the battery much more
