Conor O'Brien has transferred to Odense.

Odense is actually a historically bigger club than Nordsjaelland and is off to a better start than FCN - sitting in third place.

I didn't expect to hear his name at the transfer deadline but good for him.

Yesterday I asked Conor O'Brien if he ever would consider joining MLS or more specifically the Red Bulls. He responded with "Of course I would consider it. Especially being a NY native."

O'Brien would be a real good midfielder in MLS, I'd love to see some team take a chance and go get him. An American player of his caliber should be in MLS, not to mention he is only 24-years-old.

I think O'Brien to MLS would be a great fit, maybe instead of RB he moves to MLS when NYCFC comes into town.

Judging by his failed transfer to Copenhagen Id bet he dreams of playing some European Football. Wouldnt be surprised to see him give Europe another 2-3 years and then come over

Hey the more and more MLS starts spending the dough on quality American players the more and more they will opt to ply their trade in the US. But hey why not give Europe another 2-3 years. I just think he will be able to get a call up quicker if he moved to MLS.

I think O'Brien could be a great signing for NYCFC. He is a talented midfielder, a NY guy(from Long Island) and is willing to come back to MLS. NYCFC should have a few talented American starters and he could be one of them.

O'Brien was really sharp today for Odense in a 5-1 win on the road against his former club, Sonderjyske.

Odense move into 4th place in the Superliga

He's their starter. He was dealing with some injuries earlier

I think starting at NYCFC would be a slight step up from playing where he is, switch out his chances of getting to play in a UEFA comp with getting to play in the CCL, and his chances of getting a look-in for the USMNT will be slightly higher. Plus the exposure playing there will get him abroad will be pretty high, he could use it as a springboard to a good European team.

Is amazing how he hasn't gotten a call up at any level from USA. Don't know how he fell off the mnt/ynt radar.

Conor O'Brien could finally make his Austrian debut for Wiener Neustadt on Saturday.
