Lets say we get out of Costa Rica with a W with no players suspended my starting 11 would be......

Altidore

Fabian Dempsey Landon

Bradley Mix

Beasley Gonzo Besler Orozco

Guzan

If brooks decides to stay ill put him with gonzo.. Also Aron could see significant mins..

I don't think Gonzo should get the start...Besler has been better form-wise, and Goodson is better in the air. Gonzo should only be used in the event of more yellow card trouble.

With both of the upcoming games being against opposition with pace, the slowest of the CBs in the picture right now should be left off the starting 11

On brooks I'm not sure if this is accurate but it sounds like he will stay or leave depending on who gets yellow cards against costa rica. So if besler gets suspended, he will stay. But if besler gets through without a card I think he is going back.

Stop with the needless overreacting. Orozco was just as bad as Beasley. Plus why would Klinsy switch keepers? Not necessary in the slightest.

I posted this in the other thread but since that one is fast moving, here's my starting 11 but I think JK goes with EJ up top and the rest the same.

-----AJ-----
--Fab--Clint--Landon--
--Beckerman--Jones---
-DMB-JAB-Gonzo-Parkhurst-
-----Howard----

Orozco was the worst on the pitch tonight, Jones and Cameron tried hard to catch him though. Mix or someone has to start to try and make some sort of connection in the team.
What Id like
AJ--- Dempsey
Fab------- Donovan
---Jones---Mix
Beasley Brooks Gonzo Zusi(anyone but Orozco)

What I think we see
Dempsey
Fab Donovan Zusi
Jones Beckerman
Beasley Brooks Gonzo Orozco

Need to get the 3 and hope for the right result, qualify then worry about getting everyone on the same page. Bradley is great but losing him shouldnt have that impact on a team who were playing with confidence. But then the strange roster management after the injury had a lot to do with it.

Which players give the USMNT the best chance of winning?

---------EJ--------
Lando------Deuce----Bedoya
------Jones----Diskerud----
Fabian--Brooks---Gonzo---Orozco
-----------Howard------

All I know is that both Lichaj and Chandler are better than Orozco.

Will the USMNT beat Mexico? Hopefully.

Mexico is in crisis mode which means their team could be in disarray or extremely focused come Tuesday.

My Guess Mexico will be lined up as a counter-attack team in Columbus, and the USMNT better be ready for that.

The USMNT beats Mexico and then beats Jamaica in October they will be qualified for sure. Which means the Panama game doesn't matter.

Both Mexico and the USMNT will be wounded animals come Tuesday from their it will be who wants it more.

This 2014 WC cycle HEX was billed as the toughest yet, and it's definitely living up to that billing.

Id be ok with Fab dropping back but I think he is much more effective up front, his defense is kind of overrated at this point. He is better than Beasley but only slightly. Hopefully Lichaj keeps up his form and can come in and hold down LB because I think Cameron can be a solid RB at the international level, more so than at CM.

The USMNT has always been known to lay a few eggs in qualifying. They just have to refocus and rebound in C-Bus.

AJ is miles ahead of EJ and Id much prefer anyone over Orozco, a never played there Zusi would be better, Mexico would take advantage of all that space he continually gave up tonight. Id be ok with Beasley at LB Fab at LM and Lando behind AJ with Bedoya out wide. Deuce just is in a rut right now and might just need a sitting down.

If we step back a second, losing to Costa Rica on the road is what should have happened. Getting devoured by Costa Rica in the first 10 minutes does not sit well. From a qualification perspective we got spoiled on the road to the 2010 World Cup but we are still in very good shape.
