Boyd got called up because he was behind players at one of the best clubs in the world. Gyau can wait

This is an important point. Yeah Boyd played with the reserves, but it was with Dortmond. Plus Klopp told Klinsmann that Boyd was a future star.

Do you have a link to an article where he says that?

Well Gyau just played the last ~15 minutes of the Paderborn game. Gyau didn't really get involved in the game much except for one play on the left flank he went 1 v 1 on their RB, showed some nice skill, and got a corner out of it. Otherwise, he couldn't quite put himself in good enough positions to get the ball, although trying to find the game in the last 15 minutes is always extremely difficult for a (late game) sub.

Wow did St. Pauli turn things around in the second half. They played their best football of the season (by far). Gyau came in to play the entire 2nd half as Right Winger and I'll tell you he made a great case for himself. His first real play he ran the right wing and got a corner, which got a header goal instantly. Instant impact for Gyau. Gyau's next few plays in order:
1) Gyau pushed ball forward for attack, passed to Bartels who then got dispossessed (if I recall correctly).
2) Gyau had a FANTASTIC breakaway play, great bit of skill to get around his defender to start breakaway. I don't remember how the play ended for St. Pauli.
3) Gyau tried to dribble through three players, which worked, he got tripped, but no foul given.
4) Gyau and a St. Pauli player had miscommunication in which he started to break off from his defender at the high line to try to run forward for through ball, but either thought he would be off side or thought that the pass wasn't coming so he stopped, but then the pass did come.
5) On the upper right flank, he showed some scrappy fight when he fought for a ball right near the sideline and got a good positioned throw in from it.
6) Gyau and Ginzek has a miscommunication where Ginzek put it in a through ball for Gyau on the left side instead of the middle, could have been Gyau's first goal if play went off correctly.
7) Gyau makes a great run into the box (right side), beats his defender, passes to the middle, but no one to collect, kicked out by defender to another St. Pauli player, got a corner out of it. Nothing came from the corner.
8) Gyau makes a nice run, creates space and puts in a nice through ball to Ginzek. Ginzek doesn't succeed.
9) Gyau on right side, defended by multiple, dribbles about, makes space for himself, passes to guy in middle who gets fouled, gets free kick in dangerous area (almost leads to goal).
10) Gyau makes nice run (2 defenders) just at the right side of the box, just about beats them, gets fouled right outside the box, free kick right on the edge (right) of the box. Nothing comes from it.
11) Gyau starts a fast break, passes it to another St. Pauli player, it breaks down.

I would say this was his first "semi-breakout game", the cameras were focusing on him a lot at the end of the game. Commentators mentioned him many times during the game. He has earned more playing time. What's more, St. Pauli is finally starting to play well.

Good for Gyau. Maybe Hoffenheim wil recall him from his loan by the winter break because Hoffenheim is in dire need of an offensive catalyst.

I hope he continues to see more minutes for St. Pauli.

He's not good enough yet. I hope he stays at St. Pauli next season too.

I am just hoping that he gets a lot of playing time the rest of the year. If he starts producing JK might call him up at some point

(in NY, near queens, internet cafe): Stuttgart vs. St. Pauli: Gyau plays full 90 minutes. First half as RW. Second half as LW. Here are some of his plays:
1)Got corner in 1st min I think (my stream opened just as it occurred, I think Gyau caused it on right flank)?
2)blazes down line with ball, beat two defenders, got pulled down from back, free kick given
3)Comes back all the way to play defense, did well to win ball.
4)(needs to be said that the pauli goalie made an unbelievable save)
5) Tracks all the way back to play defense, does well.
6) Stuck in between multiple defenders, tries to dribble out, almost works, gets dispossessed
7) (boy does Pauli defense suck, 0-2 in 22nd, Gyau's going to have a hard time getting the ball whenthey are being constantly raped)
8) Did well to win ball sprinted toward goal, tried some NFL like juking moves, was disposessed by Stuttgart CB (I think). Almost worked.
9) runs with ball down right flank, just about beats his man, defender kicks ball deflects off Gyau, goal kick.
10) my internet stream dies (near the 40th min)
11) 0-3. Halftime.
12) my internet stream going in and out.
13) Gets ball, goes forward, (50th min) gets fouled.
14) doing plenty of defensive work.
15) (now on left flank) Gotta love that move he does, receive a pass, fakes like he will trap it, lets it go by, jets forward with defender in his dust.
16) Gyau gets ball from rebound in the box, some juke fidgets (at least he doesn't do stepovers), passes to another, other guy botches shot on goal.
17) Gyau, WOW IS HE FAST, he blasts by two players on the left flank, gets a throw-in by the end.
18) Gyau gets ball near half line, runs to middle of pitch near top of box, gets clipped from behind, but doesn't get a foul called (not sure why, did ref think he dived?)
19) Stuttgart is way too good for Pauli.
20) I missed the 81st min play Gyau was in.
21) 89th, Gyau runs to middle of pitch, near the box, tries to get shot off, blocked, recovers ball, passes it.

Watched this game. He did well and was the only player to really do anything for St. Pauli. They are dreadful.

Joe will eventually learn to play as a team player and plan better for his attacks. I think in his youth (based upon interviews I have read) he focused a lot on standing out based on 1 v 1 skills. Him and his father focused on that a lot. More playing time and being hungry for improvement will help him improve his team integrating skills.

If he's not good enough to play for the U.S. National Team, then there is no way Zusi, Beckerman, Parkhurst, Goodson, Alan Gordon or Joe Corona is lol...Because he's leaps and bounds better than them technically and physically.

I believe Pauli did not extend his loan. Back to hoffenheim. I think he is best to leave hoffenheim altogether, or go on loan to MLS. Kid's development is stalling without consistent minutes.
